Hold Investiture Rites |

Incestiture services of the new troop 83 were held last night at St. Paul's Episcopal church. The troop is made up largely of boys who live In the downtown area and is sponsored by the Haywood-Barcus post, American Legion. At the ceremonies Joseph and George Saba were awarded their! star scout badges and second class awards were presented to. Guy Schofield. Leonard Riley and Charles Woodall. Merit badges were presented to! Robert Church, Robert Cunning- | ham, Angelo Anda, Efthemus Pappas, Robert Mgcsier, Charles Woodall and James Pappas. A. F. Gemmer, troop scoutmaster, presided at the open meeting.

= Plan Training Course A training course for council and! district committeemen wiil be held Sunday afternoon, April 13, at the Marott hotel. The session will open at 2 o'clock with instruction on the administra-| tive duties of the committeemen. The meeting will close with a ban-| quet that night at the hotel. A PF.! GROTTO LEGION POST BACKS HASSELBRING

Sahara Grotto post 264, American | Legion, today went on record as| indorsing Fred C. Hasselbring for 12th district Legion commander, subject to the August election. The indorsement points out that Mr. Hasselbring has served es past! commander, district vice : com- | mander and membership chairman.! He also has served on various legion state committees and is now 12th district adjutant. !

James W. Lyons, of 1423 is home on a furlough for the Easter holidays. He has been stationed at Camp Barkley, Tex. since entering military service last October.

5 CEMETERIES NEAR CAMP TO BE MOVED

A $787787 WPA grant for Camp Atterbury will be used to improve existing rohds leading to the military area south of Indianapolis, army engineers announced today. The road improvements

public health nursing consultant, Chicago, and Dr. Herman J. Nimitz, Hamilton county Tuberculosis hospital superintendent, Cincinnati. H. B. Allman, legislative committee chairman, Indiana State Teach-

ers’ association; Daniel C. McCarthy, National Tuberculosis association public relations director, and Mrs. Mary T. Hughes, Clark county public welfare director, will address the association in the afternoon, The Indiana Trudeau society, an organization of doctors interested in tuberculosis. will hold a meeting concurrent with the last session.
