In their churches, lighted by candles and steeped in the atmos phere of Holy Week, Indianapolis people will receive the Holy Communion Maundy Thursday, Holy Week opens tomorrow and [rises to the peak of its solemnity oh Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. On the Thursday of the original Holy Week, Jesus ate the last supper with his disciples in an upper room in Jerusalem and thus inaugurated the Holy Communion, In addition to the communion, Indianapolis congregations schedule a variety of religious services marking Holy week.

World Traveler
Poet, editor, world traveler and lecturer, Mrs. Rothenburger came of a line of intellectuals. She was born in Buffalo, N. Y.,, on March 27, 1884, and her father, Charles H. Avery, studied law under Grover Cleveland in that city, In Groton, Mass. a bronge figure of Capt. James Avery marks ihe site of the homestead he established seven years after John Alden built a house for the bride who did not choose to become Mrs. Miles Standish. No one but an Avery lived in that homestead from 16563 until 1805. Mrs. Rothenburger’s great uncle, Ezra Cornell, founded the New York university that bears his name. Her uncle, Dr. Elroy MacKensie Avery, was the author of To |+Avery Physics” and of a 12volume reference history of the United States.

She was one of the founders of the Nae tional Council of Church Women and headed its department of inter racial relations for three years.
