LESS EXPOSURE 1S NEEDED NOW
Sun's Becoming Brighter; Also Don’t Forget You're

These things might not seem so important to you amateurs who ‘have been in practice all winter, ‘but theyll fool you if you have been out of the game for two or three months, S80, for the benefit of beginners ‘and good forgetters, let's rehearse this exposure business a little bit. In making a closeup of a small pbject, you run a bellows camera very far out. For this, read for the shadows and then double the exposure recommended by the me- ~ ter. That is to compensate for the great distance of the lens to the film, due to the bellows draw. Of course, there are some very nice rules on this point, but you should get by nicely if you just double the exposure when you have drawn pretty far out with a double extension bellows. - Something much different is exposure for color. If your subject matter is all very lightly colored—

Times Special NEW YORK, March 20.—Technocracy, the economic cure-all which sprouted during the depression and died under the new deal has come to life again. With it has come a special salute, gray uniform, large fleets of “technocracy gray” automobiles in a dozen western cities, a motorcycle corps, study classes, parades and an elaborate propaganda organization, Funds of undetermined origin seem to be plenty, for during the last month the group has spent more than $50,000 for full-page advertisements in more than 100 newspapers seeking appointment of Howard Scott, its leader, as director general of defense, “CHQ"— the continental headquarters of technocracy, are in the Commerce building in New York. Officially the purpose of the organization is to create a technate state out of North America, Greenland, Bermuda, the West Indies, ColumVenezuela, Guiana and all Pacific islands east of the international date line.
