. The Butler university spring athletic program, including 20 baseball
games, nine tennis meets and eight track meets, was released yesterday by Prof. Warren R. Isom, chairman of the faculty athletic committee. The Bulldog diamond squad opens its season April 17 against Franklin at the Baptist stronghold. Only two matches away from home are scheduled for the Butler tennis team, Ball State at Muncie and St. Joseph at Rensselaer. The Blue and White harriers will meet all their opponents away from home. Lou Spivey Wins Billiard Title
Lou Spivey, 1935 state winner, won the state three-cushion billiard championship last night, defeating Joe Pilz, 50 to 21, at Harry Cooler’s parlor. Walter Ramsey, defending champion, finished third. Spivey’s high cluster of eight equaled the tournament high previously set by Morris Morris and the champion dealt Pilz his first defeat of the tournament.
