The war has pulled John E. York of Indianapolis into the navy for a “second hitch.” He ended the first hitch Feb. 4, 1941, but when war came and he saw his friends entering the service ‘he could not stand idly by so he joined again last month. He received a rating of aviation machinist’s mate, first class, and is now in training ‘at the Great Lakes station. - His home is at 3725 N. Drexel ave.
