Associated With Schools in State 50 Years; I. U. Board Member. *

An Indiana educator for many years and a member of the Indiana university board of trustees, Robert I. Hamilton of Vincennes died yesterday at a private nursing home where he had been a ‘patient for three years. Mr. Hamilton was 91. Associated with education in Indiana for more than 50 years, Mr. Hamilton began his teaching career at Rigdon. For six years he served as superintendent of the Madison county schools, later was superintendent of the Huntington public ‘schools and then went to the Vincennes schools where he was superintendent for 14 years.

He became city controller at Vincennes in 1916 and served four years. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Hubert L. Beck, Evanston, Ill.; two sons, Ralph R. and Robert C., both of Indianapolis, and three grandchildren, John H. Beck, Evanston, Mrs. William B. Blackburn, Washington, and Ruth Ann Hamilton, Indianapolis. Funeral services will be held -at 1:30 p. m. tomorrow at the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary and burial will be at Anderson.

Mrs, Grace D. Grismer, 3749 Boulevard pl, a resident of Indianapolis for more than 20 years, died yesterday at St. Vincent's hospital. She was 58. ‘Mrs. Grismer is survived by her husband, Edward H.; a daughter, Patricia; a brother, Harry B. Jones, and a sister, Mrs. G. W. Baumgartner, Clay City.
