RENO, Nev., March 13 (U. P.)—

| Tin, strategic and scarce war metal,

has been found in Nevada, possibly in commercial volume, Prof. Walter Palmer of the Nevada analytical

laboratory of the University of Nevada announced yesterday. The entire United States produces only 170 tons of tin a year, and consumed 75,000 tons annually before the Dutch East Indies sources were ‘cut off. Prof. Palmer found tin in ores he was sampling for a prospector. The ore contained 3.98 per cent tin, accortling to a U. 8. bureau of mines assay made here.
