Beier-Prather Wedding Is This Evening
The marriage of Miss Deloses Neal Prather, daughter of Mrs. N. H. Prather, 1825 Park ave. to Max George Beier will take place at 8 o'clock this evening .in the First United Lutheran church with the
Rev, Arthur L. Mahr, pastor, officiating. Mr. Beier is the son of Mrs. Max B. Beier, 2824 Brookside ave. A background of palms will be used in decorations and white gladioli and calla lilies will stand on the altar. Miss Pauline R. Roes, organist, will play a program of bridal airs. The bride will be gowned in white taffeta worn with a fingertip veil and will carry a bouquet of white roses with an orchid center. Miss Mary Wheeler, maid of honor, will wear pink taffeta and will carry pink roses and iris. William Beier, cousin of the bridegroon, will be best man, and William Cole Sr., another cousin, and Jack Willson will be ushers. The. bride’s mother will wear an angelus: blue and navy gown with navy accessories and Mrs. Beier will wear Caribbean blue with. black accessories, White carnation corsages will be worn by both. A reception following the céremony ‘will be held at the home of the ‘ bride’s mother. The couple will leave for a short wedding trip, the bride wearing a turquoise blue suit, ‘rose blouse, camel-hair topcoat, brown accessories sme an orchid corsage. .On their return they will be at home in the Graylynn hotel. . Mr. Beier is a graduate of Purdue university and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. A series of three morning “‘coffees” and lectures, beginning next Friday, will be sponsored by the Red Cross committee of the Caroline Scott Harrison chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. The events, at the chapter house, 824 N. Pennsylvania st., will start at 10:45 a. m. with the lectures occurring at 11 a. m. The second and third of the series will be March 27 and April 10. Mrs. Trevor R., Geddes will be the lecturer. Mrs. Geddes has made two trips around the: world. She was born in Calcutta, India, and was educated in Darjeeling, India; Brighton, England, and Paris. For a number of years she lived in the Dutch East Indies and Malaya. “History in the Making” will be her subject next Friday and she will interpret world events and give the background. Reservations may be made at the chapter house or with committee members, Mrs. Iliff Jones and Mrs. James M. Gloin, Red Cross chairmen, have named Mrs. Alexander L. Taggart and Mrs. Carl PF.
