The Players Will 'Broadcast' Tonight Over Station KDJBH
FOLLOWING THE PLAYERS CLUB'S PARTY tonight at the Woodstock club, the committee for the club's March| 28 production will swing into action. The group will plan the performance scheduled to be presented at
the Civic theater that night. ; Mr, and Mrs. F. Noble Ropkey, chairmen, will be assisted by Dr. and Mrs. Irvine H. Page, Mr. and Mas. Louis McClennen and Mr. and Mrs. John B. Stokely. . Among parties planned to precede | tonight's “broadcast” by station [KDJBH will be one at the home pf Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf K. Haerle., Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Pierson will have dinner with the John H. Bookwalters before going to the club, Among dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Coppock will be Mr. and Mrs. Ralph C. Vonnegut. Guests at another dinner party will include Messrs. and Mesdames Alfred W. Noling, A. K. Scheidenhelm and Erwin G. Vonnegut. Mr. and Mrs. G. Vance Smith's dinner guests at their home will be Dr. and Mrs. J. Jerome Littell, Dr. and Mrs. Cleon A. Nafe and Dr. and Mrs. J. Carlton Daniel. Mr. and Mrs, Walker W. Winslow, their daughter, Eleanor, and James M. Dill Jr. will be at the Woodstock together. Mrs. Winslow has just returned from a trip to New York. .

The engagement of Miss Alice Evans to Everett D. Bergen, son of Mrs. Everett D. Bergen, 502 E. Maple road, is announced by her mother, Mrs. Frank Lewis Evans, 5311 Central ave. The wedding will be at 8:30 o'clock the evening of April 18, in the Propylaeum. Miss Evans is a gradvate of DePauw university where she was a member of Lelta Delta idelta sorority. Museum to Have Exhibit of Water Colors and Drawings
AN IT of drawings and water colors by French masters of the 19th and 20th centuries will open tomorrow at John" Herron Art museum. The “Horse in Art” exhibition which opened Feb. 15 at the museum will continue through March. The| new exhibit includes pen and pencil sketches, charcoals and wash drawings by prominent artists of the period including Ingres, Degas, Courbet, Renoir, Manet, Corot, Millet, Daumier, David, Gericault, Van Gogh, Rousseau, Matisse, Picasso, Maillol, ‘Bonnard, Derain and Despiau. The | collection is from the museums of France, with the Louvre as chief! contributor. It was assembled by the French government for sho in Buenos Aires in 1939, going from there to Chile and then to this country where it has attracted wide interest in San Francisco, Chicago and New York. To mark the opening of the exhibit, Director Wilbur D. Peat of the museum will comment on the pictures in a talk at 4 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in: the Indiana room where the work will be hung. e event is open to the public without charge. | Miss| Lucy M. Griffith are on the host and h committee of the Art Association of Indianapolis which will serve at the museum tomorrow.
Algonquin Club Will Entertain Equestrians

Both the bride's father and the bridegroom are with the army medical corps, the former stationed at the fort hospital and the Jridegroom at Billings general hospital at the fort. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs.
Earl Stirling, Sulphur Springs, Tex. Officiating at the 4:30 o'clock ceremony in the post chapel will be Chaplains Herman Page and Ernest Kendle. Pvt. Raphael Valerio will play a program of organ music for the service and Miss Joan Miller will be the harpist. Miss Mary Higdon is to sing “At Dawning”. and “Because.” : A background of greenery at the altar will be flanked by candelabra and standards of white gladioli. The chancel rail will be entwined with smilax. . Sit Miss Anne Bullivante, Philadelphia, maid of honor, will be gowned in champagne-colored chiffon. She will wear a dusty pink hat and accessories and will ‘carry pink gladjoli and camellias. Juanita Hines Prosser, -small sister of the bride, will be flower girl. - She is to wear a long frock of pink taffeta and tulle and will carry a small, round bouquet of pink and white gladioli flowerets.

Stirling attended the University of Texas where he received his B. A. and M. D. degrees. He served his interneship at Garfield Memorial hospital, Washington, and held a fellowship in radiology at Georgetown University . hospital. He is a member of Kappa Sigma. and Phi Alpha Sigma fraternities.
