: | Lambs Club Frolic | Tonight Will Feature Show 'February Portraits’

.: -F. NOBLE ROPKEY will act as ‘master of ceremonies for the floor show which will highlight the Lambs club's mid-winter frolic tonight at the Columbia Club. He and Mrs. Ropkey were chairinen of the com-
mittee arranging the show. As an {‘emcee,” Mr. Ropkey will introduce the various personages whose birthdays occur this month and who form the theme for the show, “February Portraits.” Appearing first will be Ray PF. Sparrow as Victor Herbert. In the act he| introduces, Robert D. Robinson will sing “When You're Away’ the Victor Herbert chorus will dance. Mesdames Walter C. Hiser, Robert 8. Wilt, A. K. Scheidenhelm, William H. Kreig, Alexander L. Taggdrt Jr, Wayne L. Ritter and Charles Hedley form the chorus. Following Stuart Dean’s appearance as Thomas A. . Edison there will be a novelty act, “The Jumping Jitterbugs of Jive.” | Mr. Wild will depict Abraham Lincoln as the third February portrait. George x Schneider will portray $t. Valentine as Mrs. Ropkey appears in a comic Valentine number. Following her will be Frank A. Throop's appeararice as George Washington with four minute men +—George Fotheringham, Paul Starrett, Ralph C. Mrs. Walter A. Schulz, legislative chairman of the Indianapolis Council of Parent-Teacher associations, has called a meeting of legislative chairmen for 1:30 p. m. Thursday in the west room of the World War Memorial building. Mrs, William R. Shirley, president of the council, will open the pub= lic. meeting and introduce Mrs. Brandt C. Downey, state represen= tative, who will discuss “Our State Legislature.” Other speakers will be Mrs. Schulz, whose subject will be “Our Legislation Program for 1941 and 1942,” and Mrs. Robert -F. Shank, legislative chairman of the Indiana Congress, who will talk on “The Importance of Our Parent-Teacher Program in the National Emere gency.”
Mrs. Orval Barnett will lead a discussion on “What Shall We Do Next” ‘at a joint meeting of the LOWELL study club and adult education group Monday at 8 p. m. in the school. Fred Keithley will talk on “Juvenile Protection.”
