THE HOUR OF THE OSCAR LEVANT CONCERT which the Women's Affairs Committee of the Civic Theater is sponsoring on Sunday, Feb. 8, in the Indiana Root Ballroom is being advanced from 3 to 2:30 p. m., accord-
ing to announcement by the committee. The change is being made to co-operate with a group from the Indiana State Symphony Society which is being entertained that afternoon at a chamber music recital in the heme of Mr. and Mrs. Booth Tarkington. Additional patrons and patronesses for the concert, Mr. Levant’s first appearance here, include Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Adams, who will entertain members of the Symphony Society. W.S.C.S. Will Co-Ordinate Its Work
A meeting to co-ordinate the work of the three Indiana Conferences of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Methodist Church was held yesterday afternoon at the Young Women's Christian Association. Attending the Area Council meeting. with representative officers from the three conferences, were Murs. E. R. Bartlett, Greencastle, Northwest Indiana Conference president; Mrs. O. T. Martin, Muncie, Northern Indiana Conference president, and Mrs. Orien W. Fifer, Indiana Conference president. Defense work by the organizations was stressed at the meeting and each church was asked to establish a Red Cross unit. Many of | the churches represented in the | Conferences already are working on | projects for their members who are in the Service. Such projects include writing letters to the men and sending gifts to them.
