By UNITED PRESS Indiana Central Greyhounds, in the throes of a 20-game winning spree that started last year and threatens to run longer than ‘“Tobacco Road,” have left a wake of astronomical scores resembling a social security number minus. the hyphens. Coach Harry Good has reared a team of veteran basketballers who started clicking in mid-season last year to finish the card with 10 straight wins. Now pending are plans to book the scourge of Indiana teams, the Great Lakes Naval Training Station quintet, for a double-bill at the Fieldhouse, along with a Kautsky-Renaissance pro battle. The Sailors would offer the acid test for the Greyhounds and possibly erase the question mark to their acclaim — “Can they lick tough competition?” Harry Good thinks his lads could give the Sailors a scrap.

Plan Red Cross Benefit Net Tilt

Players and spectators alike will contribute to the American Red Cross fund at a series of independent basketball games planned at the Rhodius Park community center Saturday night. Members of the six teams participating in the program will contribute 5 cents each to the Red Cross fund. Similar programs are planned on Jan, 31 and Feb. 7 and 14, according to an announcement by Harry Wincel.
