Anniversary Ball Is Next Saturday
ON THURSDAY NIGHT there will be dancing from 7 to 8:30 Following a roast beef dinner at 8:43 p. m. a color movie, Europe Today,” will be shown by Chester R. Young. formerly of Elwood. The film is a pictorial story of several foreign countries before, during and after invasion by Axis powers The Indac Juniors will attend their annual anniversary dinin the Lanterm Room Friday night at 7 o'clock. Invitations have been sent to members of the junior group, their “dates” and guest couples. A junior midwinter dance for all members’ sons and daughters and guest couples will follow at 9:30 p. m. Louie Lowes orchestra will play for dancing until midnight. The junior dance will take the place of the usual Friday night adult dance. The fourth floor ballrpom will be decorated in patriotic fashion for the anniversary ball for members and their guests. Dancing and supper will be from 10 p. m. One dollar of the original charge per couple will be refunded in defense stamps to each party host following the ball. Reservations for the supper dance are being made with the manager's office.

Joseph C. Lautner Is Program Commentator
THE INDIANAPOLIS SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA'S sixth pair of subscription concerts next week-end will be preceded by the usual pre-concert luncheon and explanatory music talk Friday at the Athenaeum. Joseph C. Lautner will be the music commentator following the noon luncheon. The women's committee of the Indiana State Symphony Society sponsors the luncheons and talks. Reservations for the luncheon, for which there is a nominal charge, will be received at the headquarters of the Indianapolis Orchestra until 5 p. m. Wednesday. No reservations are necessary for the music talk, which will cover the program to be played that afternoon and Saturday evening under the Girection of Fabien Sevitzky.
