Weights Over 230 Pounds Steady to 15 Cents Higher.
Heavier hogs advanced in price at the Indianapolis Stockyards today, the Agriculture Marketing Service reported. Weights under 230 pounds were unchanged but weights over 230 pounds were steady to 15 cents higher than Saturday. The top was $11.75 for good to choice 190 to 200pounders. . Receipts included 3218 cattle, 571 calves, 11,500 hogs and 3843 sheep.

CHICAGO, Jan. 5 (U. P.).—Ins dependent strength in rye futures featured early trading on the, Board of Trade today. At the end of the first hour ve prices were up 1% to 13% Sen's bushel; wheat showed gains .0 i te 14; corn up % to %; oats up % to %; and soy beans off 3% to 3%. The wide spread between rye fus tures prices and 110 per cent of parity inspired an active commise« sion house demand that turned prices upward. The Dec. 15 parity price for rye was placed at $1.04 a bushel.
