Issue Has Slumped $14 in Little More Than One Week.
NEW YORK, Dec. 26 (U. P.).— Weakness in American Telephone & Telegraph capital stock and strength in Standard Oil (N, J) Jentures a RTORlY irregular stock
rie Yoda nade a new low since 1938 at 119%, off 1%. In a little more than a week, the issue has Jost more than 14 points. Standard Oil gained a point to 42% in a steady to firm oil section. Elsewhere, steels were firm, moe tors and rails mixed and utilities easier. Bethlehem and U, 8. Steel had gains of 5% point at 60% and 507%, respectively. Chrysler was at 43%, up 3%, and General Motors 30, off%4. Anaconda gained % to 26% and Kennecott and American Smelting had smaller advances. Douglas Aircraft lost 1% to 64%. United Aircraft showed a fractional rise, Rubbers were steady to firm after recent declines. Tobaccos dis« played rallying tendencies. Mercane tiles were steady to slightly easier,
