Ludlow Presents Banner Which Flew Over House | When U. S. Voted War. |
The flag that flew over the House, wing of the National Capitol when the United States declared war on the Axis powers arrived in Indian-/ apolis today. Rep. Louis Ludlow (D. 12th District) sent i* to Gov. Schricker. A letter atcompanying the flag said

A composer of hymns as well as
a minister of thé Gospel, Dr. Ostrom heard at one of the three services he conducted in Towa his own work entitled, “Is it The Crowning Day?” For the last 20 years Dr. Ostrom was a member of the extension staff of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Under the auspices of that institute, he wrote and published a book also dealihg with the dream
of world peace. It was entitled
“The Christian and War.” He also wrote syndicated church columns and contributed to the Moody Monthly. He often used the de plume, George Walker Whitcomb. Dr. Ostrom was born in Belleville, Ont., Sept. 19, 1861, the son of a member of the provincial parliament. He began preaching at 18. Mere than half a century age he gave up a pastorate in Toronto and came to the United States with his young wife, settling at Milwaukee.

Dick Miller, Coliseum manager, and Harry Xennedy, Hammond,

Mr. Miller and Mr. Kennedy will serve’ with Donald Ping, Evansville football coach, who was appointed at the same time as Mr. Scott and Mr. Jones. Mr. Miller is a former Indianapolis newspaperman and sports official’ and is experienced in managing sports affairs. Mr. Kennedy, a railroad man, had been active in wrestling activities in Hammond. The Commission governs professional wrestling and boxing in the State. Sam. Murbarger is Commission secretary.
