'Hot Foot' Routs

The well-known “hot foot” used exclusively in pranks friends, has been put to use here for the first time to rout bandits. When two men with drawn guns entered the Lupers Liquor Store, 1008 W. Michigan St, Samuel rs, 60, turned on a switch under a counter. One of the bandits leaped over the counter to get at the cash drawer and jumped right on a network of highly charged wires as or Lupers had expected him to do. The bandit danced sharply and leaped back on the other side of the counter and both ran out the door, meeting two other accomplices outside. All four ran down an alley off Michigan St.
