Middies Fear Pores From Mazur & Co.
Both Teams Are At Full Strength PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 28 (U. -P.).—The Army-Navy
football game, which won't be played until tomorrow, was
? ought out .on hundreds . of
Istreet corners, today and the “¥ conclusion was that victory will go
to the team which controls the air. Although the Middies are firm
fdvorites at ‘odds hovering around 2-1, the sentiment in this City of Brotherly Love doesn’t ‘back up the price. Philadelphians have seen too many service school games to fall prey to-fancy figures. Their opinion is that there's a game to be played —and its outcome Yepenis on ‘the
passing. - The fans mean that if little Hank Mazur can hit his targets with the accuracy he has shown previously, the Army can’t be counted out. For while the Navy has the edge in
power, depth and weight and at jeast an even break in speed, the Middies are weak on aerial defense. At Temple Stadium, a few miles from the Navy camp, Coach Swede Larson stressed pass defense in his final light practice, The Navy team, a burly outfit with power to burn, was reported at full strength when it arrived from Annapolis last night and that meant plenty strong. Lerson wasted no time on his offense, which was good for 532 yards in Navy’s last game. * Blaik ushered. the Cadets into private practice at Merion Cricket Club early today and it was an open secret that the 168-pound Mazur was the key to all his strategy. It was Mazur’s 56-yard pass play which turned defeat into victory against West. ' Virginia a week ago, and it will be passes of the same sort on which the Army hopes will hinge against the Navy.
ANNAPOLIS, Md. Nov. 28 (U. P.).—Navy’s game with Army in Philadelphia tomorrow marks the end of the three-year term of Major Emery ‘E. (Swede) Larson as head football coach. The ‘announcement of Rear Admiral Russell Wilsog, superintend-|C ent of the Naval Academy, oecasioned no surprise as it was understood Larson’s tenure as coach would terminate after three years.

Schedule Cut By North Loop
SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 28 (U. P.) —Officials of the Eastern Division of the Northern Indiana Conference has voted to count only five conference football games toward title competition. The move was designed to permit North Side of Ft. Wayne to pla$ in conferénce competition. Previously, the conference had required six games in conference play and North Side had been unable to schedule that’ number. The ruling provided that teams playing more than five conference games must decide previously to any conference game whether it shall be counted toward the title. Officials also ruled that conference baseball teams will play each other once, instead of twice, on a round: rpbin basis.
