WIRE. WIBC also will broadcast via _the Mutual system the final hour of the Tennessee-Vanderbilt game from Knoxville, Tenn., at 3 p. m. Ted Husing will describe the battle for WFBM .and Columbia while Bill Stern. will handle. the broadcast for NBC and WIRE. The game will be heard by U. A new intermission feature, “Music in America,” has been planned for opera fans this season. Designed to show the march of musical progress in the United States, the feature will be held between the first and second act curtains. A prominent speaker will discuss the history of musical performances in a large American city. _ ‘Returning by popular demand will be the “Opera Question Forum” which will be heard between the second and third acts. As an intermission feature, “At Home With the Metropolitan Opera Guild,” will also be presented. - Milton Cross will return as announcer for the series. Attilio Baggiore, tenor star of radio, opera and concert stage, sings the male lead in “The Mikado,” a “Chicago Theatre of the Air” presentation - to be broadcast on WIBC at 8:15... . Rise Stevens, mezzo-sprano of the “Met,” will be the guest of Andre Kostelanetz and Albert Spalding at 3:30 p. m.
