VICHY, Nov. 28 (U.P.). - The German - controlled Paris press launched a vociferous drive for French entry into the anti-Comin-tern pact today coinciding with a renewal of terrorist outbreaks. Terrorism included two sabotage attacks on railroads, two bombings in Paris and an attempt by three terrorists to dynamite the electrical power transformer at Oisy-Le-Ver ger, in the vicinity of Arras, center of an important industrial region. The power plant attack failed when the men were driven off by a guard. Two Frenchmen were executed at Nancy for illegal possession of arms, bringing the official total of Frenchmen executed since Aug. 12 to 188. The executions were the first since Oct. 24. In Paris, the famous restaurants and cafes of the Latin quarter were closed by the four-night curfew imposed by the Nabi military command. They included such famous American tourist rendezvous as the Coupole, the Dome, the Rotonde, the Brick Top and the Boule Blanche. PATROLMAN CHASING PURSE GRABBER HURT Patrolman James R. Gates was injured when he slipped and fell last night while chasing a suspected purse snatcher. Miss Mary E. Sullivan, 3515 N. Meridian St., a teacher at Shortridge High School, reported to police that as she waited for a bus at 17th and Meridian Sts., a Negro grabbed her purse and ran. It contained $2.50 and two fountain pens. A few minutes later, after hearing a police broadcast, Patrolmen Gates

evidence of abandoning hostilities against the Soviet Union. Finland’s adherence to the AntiComintern Pact in Berlin, these sources said, is taken. by Britain and the United States as further evidence that Finland is under the domination of Germany. and is therefore unable to: contro! her own actions. . : The United States takes the view that Finnish leaders have refused to consider seriously the recent warning of Secretary of State Cordell Hull against Finland’s continued warfare. / The Anti-Comintern Pact was described by one high official as a “sham” designed to bring adherents fully under the Axis hanner, | When and if the Allies are convinced there is no hope of Finland negotiating peace with the Sovief, it was said, Great Britain will de-
clare war against her. r
The United States was expected to cancel the loans previously authorized for Finland and to class her with the aggressor nations.
TINY PAPER ON AIRLINERS ST. LOUIS (U. P.).—The latest innovation: on the Chicago and Southern Dixie Lines is a newspaper. edited for those who travel by air. The newspaper, a 12-page miniature, contains the name of the airline passenger, with information about flight crews. The pessenger’s name, where he is going and his business, is printed across the four column sheet, by a patent process.
