Mis. Clara S. Bals, a native of Tridianapolis * and a well-known ‘resident of Woodruff Place, . died i last night in St. Vincent's Hospital. She was 61. A

10. years she lived in Cincinnati.

She was associated with the old}

Public Savings Insurance Co. here and when the company was bought by the Western & Southern Insur-

ance Co. of Cincinnati 17 years ago,

she transferred to that company. - She was a member of the Ladies’ Woodruff Club and the Maennerchor Ladies’ Society. | - Surviving is her sister, Laura S. New, and three nieces, Mrs. Louis Dorothy Kothe, both of Indianapolis, and Miss Emma Kothe of New York City.

Carl Wingenroth, a retired ma¢hinist, died yesterday in the home of his son, Alfred J. ingenroth, 1851 E. 38th 3t. | He was 81 and had been a resident of Indianapolis: for 60 years. He was a native of Germany. Surviving is another son, Walter F. Wingenroth, and a daughter, Miss Ruth Wingenroth, both of Indianapélis. The Rev. Frederick R. ‘Daries, pastor of the Zion Evangelical Church, will officiate at funeral services at 10:30 a. m. Saturday in the Flanner & Buchanan Mortuary. Burial will be in Crown Hill.
