Following its annual election this week, the Indiana Saddle Horse Association is prepared for another year of activity. E. A. Crane, who was general chairman for the recent I. S. H. A. Roundup, became president. Dr. P. O. Bonham, Ralph Kelsch, Brownsburg, and Dan Striebel, Michigan City, are first, second and third vice presidents, Richard W. Fox is .to serve as, secretary .with Kyle Herder as-his assistant and George Sadlier will be treasurer. Board members chosen recently by the membership are ‘Harold D. Johnson, William H. Wemmer, P. O. Ferrel, Mr. Sadlier, Robert H. Brown and Dr. Bonham, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. William Goodwin of Frankfort.

Museum to Have Lithograph Printing Demonstration

JOHN HERRON ART SOHOOL has announced 2 demonstration - of lithograph print making for 7:30 p. m. tomorrow at the school. The process, from preparation of the stone upon which the design is drawn to the matting of the finished print, will be shown by Floyd Hopper under the school’s auspices. Mr. Hopper, a graduate of Herron, has exhibited prints in a number of national annuals—the Philadelphia Print Show, the International Print Show and the American Color Print Annual. In 1940, at the National Exhibition in Oklahoma City, his print, “Blue Monday,” was awarded first prize, the print now being in the collection of the Oklahoma Art Center. Mr. Hopper is a director of the Indiana Artists Club and a member of the Indiana Society of Print Makers ‘and. the: Southern Print Makers Society. Donald Mattison, Herron School director, has announced that a course in lithography will be given in the evening school, beginning Nov. 18 and continuing throughout the year from 7 to 10 p. m. each Tuesday. |/A_special exhibition of prints from the Herron Museum collection together with some student prints will be featured at to‘morrow’s demonstration.
