The 18th annual anniversary celebration will be the week of Jan. -18 with an Anniversary Ball on Jan. 24 as the climax. The Anniversary Stag Party will be Jan, 19. March 14 is the date for the annual “Green Topper” supper dance and the Tulip e Ball will ‘ be April 4.. A dinner dance is scheduled for Easter sunday. SCHRICKER has proclaimed Nov. 1 to 7 as American Art Week in Indiana. “The American Artists Professional League,” the proclamation reads, “is promoting the observance of American Art Week for the purpose of increasing interest in contemporary American art, of gaining for it the recognition which it deserves and of elevating the standards of its achievements. . Progress and achievement in the fine arts and in al} the arts and crafts are essential ‘to the welfare of the country as well as to the full enjoyment of life. . Mrs. Walter S. Grow, Indiana director of the Artists’ League, has hamed 46 chairmen throughout the State to assist in planning special celebrations for the week. Indjana colleges and universities also

Miss Wason returned to the United States this summer after covering events in Europe for a year and a half. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James P, Wason, 4038 N. Illinois St. She originally went to Kurope on an assignment from Transradio Press. Her experiences range from covering the war in Greece to being held a Nazi prisoner. She was “on the spot” to cover a number of the big news events during the war ‘and did broadcasting work for William L. Shirer for the Columbia Broadcasting System.
