Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Surber of Metamora, Ind., will hold open house on Sunday in observance of their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple was married at Ane derson, Ind, Oct. 4, 1881. LUCEY Times Special Writer WASHINGTON, Oct. 2. — The strangest cargo from the United States to Great Britain under the lend-lease program, consisting of the sawed-off shotguns and machine guns of gangdom seized by the government in recent years, is being made ready here for shipment. - The gangland artillery is being supplied for the British civilian defense forces, and—if invasion comes to England—it will mean the invaders may be met with weapons of Germany’s own making.
