Myrna Loy and William Powell originally were scheduled to take the parts of Margot and Jeff in the story, but their appearance had to be canceled due to illness.

Beginning today, WISH will broadcast a full hour of children’s programs each afternoon from 5 to 6 p. m. The hour period will start with
a 15-minute program, “School
Days,” which will present the ele-{
mentary schools of the City in their own program. It will consist of school news, club events, dramatizations and chorus work. At 5:15 p. m. “Little Orphan
Annie” will be broadcast, followed by the 15-minute story of the “Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen.” The “Adventures of Tom Mix” will be broadcast at 5:45 p. m.

Parks Johnson and Wally Butterworth will add fuel to the World Series controversy tonight when they interview the Yankee pitchers Lefty Gomez, Mrs. (June O'Day) Gomez, Timmy Sullivan, the Yanks’ batboy and one of the umpires selected for the big battle. The program, “Vox Pop,” will be carried on WFBM at 7 p. m.
Gov. Harold E. Stassen of Minnesota will speak from the studios of WFBM on the CBS network tomorrow in behalf of Religious Education Week. Is Dead in Texas
WORD HAS been received here of the death of Orville C. Gaskill, a former Indianapolis resident, in Port Isabel, Tex., last Thursday. Burial was in San Benito, Tex., Saturday. Mr. Gaskill, a contractor, spent 30 years in the construction business, during which time he builf many homes here. He left Ine dianapolis in 1930 to live in Port Isabel. He was a member of Logan Lodge, 575, the Scottish Rite and the Shrine. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ada T. Gaskill of Port Isabel; three sons, Arthur A., Ardis V. and C.
