NEW FIRE HOUSE T0 BE DEDICATED

3 Programs Planned at

$40,000 Structure on South Side.

The new $40,200 Fire House at Prospect St. and Madison Ave., will

City officials and representatives of the South Side Civic Club and the Chamber of Commerce mapped plans for the celebration yesterday at City Hall. Three separate programs will be

held. At 2 p. m. there will be a pro-|&

gram for South Side women and representatives of women’s civic organizations and clubs. Fire Pre-

speak. The women will then visit the new structure, built across the street from old Engine House 17.

Decorations Planned

The program will be repeated at 4 p. m. for school children. At 8 Pp. m. Mayor Sullivan will formal ly present the new fire station 10 the community. The pageant, “America for Americans,” will be presented at the annual meeting of the Indianapolis District Woman's Society of Christian Service, tomorrow, in the Broadway Methodist Church. The election of officers will also be held and a symposium on Christ-

ian social relations. Mrs. Neal Ireland, president, will preside at the meeting beginning at 9:30 a. m. and the pageant cast will come from the Edgewood Methodist Church. Others on the program are Dr. Guy O. Carpenter, district superintendent, Mrs. O. W. Fifer, president of the conference society and Mrs. J. H. Smiley, president of the Indiana Council of Churchwomen. Included in the symposium are Mrs. Clark Hicks, Mrs. Warren Jones of Franklin, Ind,” Mrs. George Christian and Mrs. Lloyd Kirk. Hostesses are Mrs. C. A. McPheeters and Mrs. C. C, Spurrier.

A class of 100 candidates will be initiated into the Women of the Moose at 8 p. m. Thursday in the Moose Temple, 135 N. Delaware St. The initiation services will be in honor of Mrs. Frances Wiebke, grand dean of the academy of friendship. Other guests who will attend are Mark R. Gray, supreme prelate of the Loyal Order of Moose; Herman Schuessler, governor of the local Moose Lodge, 17; Judge Dewey F. Myers of Criminal Court; Mrs. Anna Hill, Mrs. Beulah Anderson, and Mrs. Phoebe Hart. The program Thursday night is sponsored by the publicity committee of the Women of the Moose, of which Miss Anita Ebaugh is chairman. It is a part of the organization’s development program, one of nine major subjects of interest to women. The Women of the Moose bases its program on the object of serving the needs of homes and com-
