The Rev. L. C. Trent of the Woodruff Place Baptist Church was to conduct funeral services at 10 a. m today in| the Harry W. Moore Peace Chapel for Ira E. Richardson, who died Saturday in his home, 1850 E. 10th St. Burial will be in the Dupont Cemetery. Mr. Richardson, who was 65, had

Born in Jennings County, the son of Joseph C. and Harriet Howell Richardson, he attended school in North Vernon and was a member of the Red Men’s Lodge there. He was a member of the Woodruff Place Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mattie A. Richardson, and a son, Olin E. Richardson. :

REQUIEM SUNG FOR MRS. MARY GRUNER

Services were held at 9 a. m. today in Little Flower Church for Mrs. Mary A. Gruner, who died

. Thursday in St. Vincent's Hospital.

A short service was held at 8:30 a. m. in the home of her son, William M. Gruner, 1301 N. Bancroft St.

‘Burial was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mrs. Gruner, who was 79, was born in Cincinnati. She had been a resident here 77 years and was the|. widow of Peter Gruner, who died in 1928. Survivors are two other sons; John G. and Louis M. Gruner; a daughter, Mrs. Charles G. Claman, and a grandson, Norman P. Gruner, all of Indianapolis.

MRS. SARAH E. MILES DIES OF INJURIES].

Mrs. Sarah E. Miles, who was injured in an automobile accident that took the life of her brother, Harry A. Christian in Waco, Tex. last week, died Saturday in Waco. Mrs. Miles was T4, ana her home was on a farm near Glenns Valley. Mrs. Miles and her brother had been visiting in Waco. Funeral services for Mr. Christian were held yesterday in Greenwood. Surviving Mrs. Miles are a son, Joy C. Miles, living south of Indianapolis; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Lee Smith, Indianapolis, and four grandchildren, Barbara and Nancy Lee Smith and Jean and Gloria Gladys Miles. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday-in the J. C. Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

HOLD RITES TODAY FOR FLOYD SMITH

Floyd B. Smith, lifelong Indianapolis resident who died Saturday in his home, 153 S. Spencer Ave, will be buried in Memorial Park |1 following services at 2 p. m. today in the Moore & sKirk Irvington Mortuary. 1ll two years, Mr. Smith was 34 and had been an employee of Eli Lilly & Co. Survivors are his wifé, Margaret; two children, Richard B. and Carol Jane; his mother, Mrs. Ida B. Smith, six brothers and three sisters, all of Indianapolis.

EX-JUDGE CRIPE DEAD AT KOKOMO

KOKOMO, Ind., Sept. 22 (U. P.). —Joseph Cripe, former Howard Circuit Court and Kokomo Municipal Court judge, died yesterday of a heart attack. He was 57. He had been Kokomo City Attorney.

| radio broadcasts starting today at

5 p. m. on WISH. Robert T. Harrison, director of radio activities for the school system, said that the broadcasts will he on the radio every school! day during the week until representatives of each of the 85 public elementary schools have appeared. The series will be known as “Elementary School Newscast.” The programs, which are primarily a broadcast of news from each school, will contain the activities of the various schools, short dramatizations of school subjects and work, Parent-Teacher Association activities and other school features. Pupils from the schools will take part in all thé broadcasting, including the introduction of characters and musical numbers., : 2 os ” Another episode of life in the Marines ‘is scheduled on WIBC at 10:15 o'clock tonight. Retired Druggist Died in Hospital Saturday; Native Hoosier.

Funeral services were held at 9 a. m. today in SS. Peter & Paul Cathedral for Hugh M. Keene retired druggist, who died Saturday in St. Vincent's Hospital. Burial was to be in Greensburg. Mr. Keene, who lived at 120 E. North Si., was: born in Greensburg, the son of Bernard and Anna Keene. He attended the Greensburg schools and studied Pharmacy in Indianapolis. For several - years, Mr. Keene Shersiad a pharmacy at Geneva, Ind. continued in his business at Rural and E. Michigan Sts, He retired several years ago. He was married to Miss Antoinette Hergt here 28 years ago and was a member of the Cathedral. Survivors are his wife; two sisters, Miss Caroline Keene and Miss Mary Keene, both of Indianapolis, and three brothers, Bernard M. Keene, who operates several drugstores here, and Charles Keene of Indianapolis, and Leo E. Keene of Denver, Colo.

MRS. MAUD COYLE DIES ON VISIT HERE

Mrs. Maud E. Coyle, a former Indianapolis resident who died Saturday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lucille Lewis, 226 N. Tremont St., was to be buried in Floral Park following services at 11 a. m. today in Shirley Brothers’ West Side Chapel. Mrs. Coyle was a ghtive of Kentucky and had lived here 42 years before going to Detroit 15 years ago te live with a son. She was visiting her daughter here at the time of her death. In ill health 17 weeks, Mrs. Coyle was 65 and is survived by, besides Mrs. Lewis, three sons, Roy, Kolmer and Cecil Coyle, all of Detorit; a sister, Mrs. Ida M. Lee of Paint Lick, Ky.; a brother, W. L. Howe of Richland, Ky. and five grandchildren, Jackie and Donald Lewis,

Emma Eckhouse Is Buried Here

RABBI MORRIS M. FEUERLICHT conducted services yester= day in the chapel of the Indian apolis Hebrew Congregation Cemetery for Mrs. Emma Eckhouse, who died Saturday in her home in Chicago after a three-year illness. Mrs. Eckhouse, who was 84, was a former resident here and was one of the organizers and first president of the Indianapolis Council of Jewish Women. She also was one of the founders of the Indianapolis Jewish Federation and Associated Charities." A former member of the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation and the Temple Sisterhood, she is survived by three, sons, Herbert and George Eckhouse, both of Chicago, and Edgar Eckhouse of Cleveland, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
