Six Others Also Injured - In Traffic Mishaps * "Late Yesterday.
* Three persons were in critical condition in Indianapolis hospitals today with injuries received in two auto accidents late yesterday. Six others were less seriously injured. _ -Seven of the victims were injured when two cars crashed head-on af 8 curve in Road 431 a half mile “north of Nora. Mr. and Mrs. John Northern Woods Beach, were ‘in critical condition in City Hospital. A son, Walter Reiman, 4, ‘was also in the hospital in fair condition. Another son, John Rei“man Jr, 1 year old, was treated t not admitted. ; it Reimans were in a car which was in collision. with one driven by William Moran, 23, of 1014 :S. New Jersey St., a cab driver. Also in his car were George Williams, 23, of 31240 Broadway, and Robert Marhling; 23, of 101¢ S. New Jersey St. ‘also cab drivers. They are in fair ‘condition in City Hospital. In the other accident, Frank J. Habig, 4601 S. Meridian St., was eritically injured and is in Methoddst Hospital. Arthur Hall, 24, of 2063 N. Meridian St., was injured and is in Methodist where his con_gition is described as fair. Cars driven by the two men col- ~ lided at Hanna Ave. and Road 31, * south of Indianapolis.

Faces Life for Mother's Death GOLDENDALE, Wash, Sept. 18 (U. P).—Eric Miller, 22-year-
old farm youth, today faced a life prison term for killing his
money. A jury of men convicted ‘Miller last night and recommended life imprisonment. The state had demanded the death penalty. The youth said his mother, Mrs Annetta Miller, ‘60, had ‘died of a heart attack while attempting to light a lamp from a Kitchen chair. The ‘state charged he strangled her. -
BUYER LACKING FOR STATE BUILDING LOT

It had obtained an option to buy before it was discovered the ’41 Appropriation Act does not provide the Commission funds for Bulding 2 such a structure. Mr. Adams said that the only hope of the Commission was that some public minded citizen would buy the lot for $87,500 and hold it
next Legislature to correct the law when the Commission would buy it.
