Islands Have Plenty
Interviewed at Commissioner Franeis B. Sayre’s office, Envoy Grady said that America requires manganese—the Philippines have it. He said America needs chrome —the Philippines have: practically the only large deposits under the flag. He .said America requires fiber—he meant the Manila hemp fiber that is a natural Philippine monopoly. He added that America requires vegetable oils and that he Barker B has an interest in Philippine coconut oil, but equal to his interest nese, fiber and chromes. In his first hotel conferences he saw the chrome men. Next day {Boeing Air
