Patrons of Symphony Orchestra to
Attend Garden Festival Tuesday
FABIEN SEVITZKY, conductor of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. G. H. A. Clowes, president of the Indiana State Symphony Society, will return to Indianapolis Monday from Cape Cod where they have been vacationing with Mrs. Sevitzky and Mrs. Clowes. They will go to Wabash Tuesday to attend the Mark C. Honeywell Festival on Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Day. The Festival opens tomorrow at Mr. Honeywell's 80 acre estate near Wabash.
Afr. Sevitzky will direct the Indiana Youth Symphony Orchestra, composed of 65 musicians at Limberlost Camp near Lagrange, Tuesday afternoon. All members of the State Symphony Society's womens committee, as well as contributors to the maintenance fund of the local orchestra. have been invited to attend on that dav. Indianapolis residents who are planning to be at the Festival on Tuesday are Mrs. Charles Latham, president of the women's committee; Mrs Jack A. Goodman, chairman of season ticket sales’ for next year, and Mr. Goodman. and Franklin Miner, manager of the Indianapolis Symphony, During the entire week special prerelease recordings bv the orchestra will be broadcast over the gardens from a motion picture studio tower on the estate. The opening day of the festival tomorrow will be Governor's Day and will feature an address by Governor Henry F. Schricker, Guests will be state department heads and their wives, Boy Scout regional officers and officers of the Symphony Society, the Hoosier Salon Patrons Association, the Indiana Society of Chicago and the Garden Club of Indiana—organizations which the festival will honor, The Culver Military Academy Black Horse Troop will be reviewed bv the Governor tomorrow afternoon and will participate in a cavalry drill, a lancer drill and an exhibition of jumping. Brig. Gen. LI. R. Gignilliat, president, and Col. W. E. Gregory, superintendent, are two of the Culver staff which will attend. Other davs set for the festival are Hoosier Salon Patrons Associztion Day Thursday and George Ade Dav Sunday. Hare-Beck Wedding Is this Afternoon
THE FIREPLACE in the home of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Beck was to be banked with gladioli and summer flowers this afternoon to form a background for the marriage of their daughter, Mary, to Kenneth Anderson Hare, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Hare. The Rev. Stewart W. Hartfelter of the Tabernacle Presbyterian Church was to read the 2 o'clock service. Mr. Beck was to give his daughter in marriage and Mr. Hare was to stand with his son as best man. Miss Beck was to be unattended. Her costume was to be a gold faille street-length dress, worn with dark blue accessories and a corsage of gardenias surrounded by a blue frill. At a small reception following the ceremony. assistants were to be the brides sisters, Mrs. Richard T. Miskimen and Miss Sara Beck. Mr and Mrs. Hare will go on a short wedding trip north and will be at home later in Indianapolis.

Noll. The Rev. Fr. James A. Hickey read the mass. A program of bridal music was presented by Miss Helen Shepard, organist; Miss Jeanne Sanford, harpist, and William Mullenholz, soloist. Mrs, William M. Martz, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Miss Judy Peelle was bridesmaid. Mr. Schurman’s attendants were his brother, Robert Schurman, best man, and Courtland Coghill and Edward C. Brennan, ushers. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Egan Leck.
Bride Wore Marquisette Gown
The bridal gown was of white velveray marquisette, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, a tight bodice and a full skirt extending into a slight train. A fingertip veil of tulle fell from a Juliet cap of marquisette bound with a wreath of white rosebuds, The bride carried a shower bouquet of white Killarney roses. The attendants wore gowns similar to. that of the bride, matching Juliet caps with shoulder-length veils and carried arm bouquets of white asters. Mrs. Martz was in heavenly blue marquisette and Miss Peelle in blush pink. Gardenia corsages were worn by Mrs. Lacy with her jacket suit of mauve and violet and black accessories, and Mrs. Schurman with her black sheer gown with white accessories. A wedding breakfast at the Indianapolis Athletic Club followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Schurman will be at home following their trip at 3330 N. Meridian St.

A double-ring ceremony will be read by the Rev. M. H. Reynolds tonight at the wedding of Miss Janis Lee Hawhee to David Leroy Davidson, at 6:30 o'clock in the Woodside Methodist Church.
