ARMY TESTING NEW TRANSPORT PLANES
WASHINGTON. Aug. 8 (U. P) — Two new-model Lockheed transport airplanes are undergoing Army Air Corps tests The rlanes, designated C-38 and C-37, are all-metal, mid-wing, cantilever monoplanes with twin-tail assemblies. Each plane has a 63 foot 8 inch wing span, and has a gross weight of 17,300 pounds. Each has two engines.
