MINNEAPOLIS. July 31 (U. P). —Mayor Marvin Kline said today that the strange disappearance of Police Chief Edward B. Hansen two weeks ago was due entirely to encephalitis—sleeping sickness, Chief Hansen told Mayor Kline in a long-awaited interview in a Duluth hospital last night that he didn’t rememebr resigning and disappearing.
