.ment of your car: . 1—You’ll save money by buying gasoline at night or early in the morning. Sun expands gasoline. Early buying, engineers say, can save you five gallons in 100. 2—Tires will last 25 per cent longer if the spare is used along with the others. Every 4000 miles switch the position of all tires; use each ‘in its turn as the spare. When you've driven 20,000 miles, each tire will have only 16,000 miles of actual wear. . 3—Maintain proper air pressure in tires. A tire one-third underinflated will wear out twice as fast. High speeds are tough on tires. So ~ are sudden stops, sharp, f fast turns sn curb scraping. 4—Press the accelerator gently. A “heavy foot” pumps more gasoline in the cylinders than can be used effectively. 5—sShift into high gear at about 25 miles an hour. Roaring into second is a good way to increase your gas consumption—and quickly. 6—Coast to gradual stops. Turn the motor off when you're parked
