Officers of the Women’s Field Army of the American Society for Control of Cancer, Indiana division, have been called to a meeting at the Claypool Hotel Friday, when reports of the 1941 enlistment campaign will be heard. The Methodist Hospital White Cross Guild's annual contest, launched at a recent luncheon for general officers and chapter presidents, is now in progress and will conclude with the 10th annual luncheon, May 12, 1942. Dr. John G. Benson, hospital superintendent, spoke to announce the contest and urge continued stress on social serv. ice work for the hospital. Prizes to be awarded in the contest are a grand trophy for the guild that makes the best all-round record, a silver trophy for the Shapier with the second best record and an attendance trophy for the group with the best average attendance at mee Guild ‘activities indorsed by Dr Benson include work for child and maternity patients, nursing’ scholarships, support of a library for patients, community ‘education in behalf of all modern hospitals and the making of dressings and other articles for hospital use.
