Those who sat in on Bob Hawk’s Take It Or Leave It broadcasts at Murat Temple here Sunday night are pretty well agreed that the genjal quiz mentor is-one of the hardest working men in the business. Bob made a hit with the crowds and his little speechpreceding the broadeast- was just in the proper mood and. did much to ease the tension, especially for the contestants. Bob expressed the opinion that he would like to come back and judging from the applause his reappearance here will be welcomed. Consensus was that Indianapolis contestants did very well in answering Bob’s puzzlers. One of the most popular categories was on the Indianapolis Speedway. Two tried’ it and both flunked, one contestant stating that the race started from.a standing start, the other not knowing that each car entered in the race draws down some cash from the Speedway. ‘He thought only the first ten were in the money.

DRAFT BOARD CLERKS GIVEN CERTIFICATES
The 2500 clerks who handled the Selective Servite registrations “in Marion. County last Oct. 16 without pay have received “honorary certificates” for their service. . They were prepared and mailed’ to the clerks by County Clerk Charles R. Ettinger, who was head of the registration work. “I received an honorary certificate for my work from President Roosevelt and I thought’ it only fair that all the 2500 board ‘clerks should have similar recognition,” he said. “So I had certificates printed: like the one I received and sent them to each board clerk.” -
