Echoes of the Speedway race on May 30 will carry to London as the result of the work of 40 volunteers who will sell Bundles for Britain buttons to those attending the 500mile classic. Money received will be used to help maintain 49 bombed hospitals in the London area. Bundles for Britain is sponsoring race day as Hospitals Day. Carrying Bundles for Britain armbands, the volunteer workers will circulate through the grandstands and give “each contributor a button. “Most people are in sympathy with the Bundles for Britain work but many of them don’t knew what they can do to help,” believes Mrs. Robert A. Adams, ®ice-president of the organization. “That is why we are sponsoring Hospitals Day.” Work at the Speedway will be under the direction of Mrs. J. Mason Gaston.
Dr. Benson to Talk To White Cross Guild
Dr. John G. Benson, Methodist Hospital superintendent, will outline]. possible activities of the hospital’s White. Leaving for a southern motor trip, the bride was to wear a dusty rose suit, navy accessories and an orchid corsage. The couple will be at home here after June 5. The bride was graduated from the Immaculate Conception Academy at Oldenburg and is a member of the Clarissa. Club. Dr. Weldon is a graduate of the Northern College of Optometry.
