He intended to get off on the right foot—by respecting everybody and everything he saw that was under military influence. After eating at one of the post mess halls Escadrenio received a physical examination. It wasn’t until then that he found he could not be accepted as a soldier. Speaks No English He could not speak a word of English. He had never been to a school. When asked ‘what. his occupation had been the disappointed Escadrenio said he had been ‘a. Do you have any friends?” “No, sendr, nada.” An officer stamped “rejected” on Escadrenio’s record and he was told to catch the next bus home. LONDON, May 21 (U. The mummy is that of Ra Nefer, Egyptian noble, who lived about 4000 B. C. Queen Berengaria, daughter of King Sancho VI of Navarre, died about 1230. King Richard, whom she married in May, 1191, had died in 1199. Many other pieces of the world famous collection started by John Hunter, “founder of modern surgery,” were burned or buried beneath blasted masonry in the Osteology, Physiology and Pathology sections of the college, in Lincoln’s Inn Field's in the heart of London.

Car Takes Wings For Long Jaunts

- | By Science Service

WASHINGTON, May 21.—You drive your automobile to a flying field. Expert mechanics ‘attach a pair of wings and a propeller. You fly away fo a distanct city, controlling your flight with the same steering wheel you used on the ground. At.your destination

the wings and propeller are re-

moved, perhaps to be attached to another auto, and you have your car to drive ground, This is the system contemplated with an invention of Bruce IL. Beals of Hempstead, N. Y., granted patent 2,241,577. The rights are assigned to Flying Car Corp. of Trenton, N. J.
