LAPORTE, Ind., May 16 (U.P.). —Optiong have been. obtained on 90 acres of land southwest of LaPorte for 400 defense housing units for workers at the Kingsbury ord nance plant. Two hundred homes will he of a permanent type, Fred H. Williams, Government site agent, said, and the remainder will be of a prefabricated, demountable type. The Government * will build streets, lay sewer and water mains and landscape the area. Rents will range from $25 to $30 monthly. Mr. Williams pointed out that

di of Amnesia Enlists; Can't Realize He's Home Now

EVANSTON, Ill, May 167(U. P.) —James Palmer "Sanderson woke up today in his own home, in his own bed, for the first time in more than eight months but his family, his house, every Getall of his life was strange. Strangest of all was the realization he was on 10-days furlough from the U. S. Army, due back at Camp Beauregard, La., Tuesday. He couldn’t remember when or why he joined, nor how he happened to use the name “James Williams” when he enlisted. His father-in-law, Roger A. Simonson, a wealthy office-equipment manufacturer, found him at the camp Saturday after an eightmonths’ search which started at Miami Beach. Mr. Sanderson, then an insurance investigator, disappeared while trying to uncover a smuggling ring. Amnesia apparently was ‘caused by a blow on the head.

While he was missing, his wife, Edith, 32, gave birth to a son who was christened David. Today Mr. Sanderson not only had his first look at the baby; he also had to begin getting acquainted again with his other children, Roger, 6, and Joan, 3.
