Second Vessel and Tug Are Damaged in Blaze at Baltimore Docks.

BALTIMORE. Md., May 15 (U. i“). —Fire today destroyed the excursion steamer Tolchester and the! piers of the Tolchester & Chesa- | peake Lines. The steamer Southport and a tug were damaged. The fire started on the Tolchester and spread to the wooden docks. The old frame structures burned like tinder, and for a time threatened to spread to the Old Bay Line pier. Navy Eagles Do An About-Face |

V'ASHINGTON, May 15 (U.P). —The Navy paused in its national defense efforts today to confess that since the founding of the country it has been going into battle with its buttons on backward. Hastening to correct the situation, Secretary Frank Knox ordered an immediate about-face of all eagles worn as insignia by officers and men on buttons, sleeves, collars, caps, epaulets and sword belt buckles. The eagles, it was discovered. have been facing to the left for all these years, whereas the laws | of heraldry provide that they | should face to the right.
