Paderewski Testimonial
THE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY of Ignace Jan Paderewski's debut in America as a pianist will be observed in Indianapolis with a Sunday afternoon concert and buffet supper at 5 o'clock, May 11, in the Woodstock Club. The concert will benefit the Paderewski Testimonial Fund, proceeds going to aid Poles scattered throughout
the world since the invasion and capture of their country.
Mrs. Herbert M. Woollen, in charge of arrangements, will present Maria Koussevitzky—in private life, Mrs. Fabien Sevitzky. wife of the Indianapolis Symphony conductor—dramatic soprano; Leon Zawiska, first violinist, and James Hosmer, first flutist with the Indianapolis Symphony. Walter Whitworth will be the accompanist,
A number of her friends will assist Mrs. Woollen in arranging toe event, among them Mesdames G. H. A. Clowes, Frederic M. Ayres, Alexander Holliday, William Ray Adams, Louis McClennen, Wallace Tomy, Earl Randles, Louis R. Thomas, Meredith Nicholson Jr., Howard B. Pelham and Louis Schwitzer Jr., Misses Nina Brown, Irving Moxley, Prudence Brown and Mary Kuhn. Following the program a buffet supper, Polish in character, will be served.
Committees for Park School Garden Tour Named

Arqus-Reed Ceremony Performed
THE LOG CHAPEL at the University of Notre Dame in South Rend was the scene at 9:45 o'clock this morning of the wedding of Miss Betty Reed, daughter of Mrs. Ray L. Reed, to Joseph H. Argus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Argus The Rev. Fr. E. J. Finnegan read the marriage service in the presence of the families. The bride wore a beige wool crepe costume suit with heartbeat red accessories and a corsage of white orchids Her sister, Dorothy, was her only attendant and wore a beige and brown suit with brown accessories and an orchid corsage. The bridegroom's father acted as best man Following a breakfast at the Oliver Hotel in South Bend, the couple left for a wedding trip to New York and the Atlantic coast <tates. They will be at home here after May 15 at 115 Buckingham Drive Mr. Argus is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the bride attended St. Mary's College at Notre Dame. The bridegroom’s parents entertained last night with a bridal dinner at the Hoffman Hotel in South Bend. Guests were members of the families who were to attend the wedding.
Assist With Children's Theater Production
VARIOUS GROUPS working for the Children’s Civic Theater's production of “The Seven Litile Rebels,” modern comedy by Rosemary Gabbert Musil. are “up to their ears” in preparations for the show. Miss Esther Jane Throckmorton is leading the group collecting hand properties, and her assistants include two junior workers, Murrav Hake and Paul Lennon; Misses Mary Ellen Voyvies, Harriet Jane Holmes and Betty Whitaker. Miss Jane Snyder is supervising the selection of scene properties, assisted by Mrs. Thomas M. Billings and Mrs. Robert T. Rogers. Mrs. James R. Miller's crew for executing her set designs includes Mrs. H. Rogers Mallory and Mrs. E. Hardey Adriance. Mrs. Robert Smith is ‘costume chairman, assisted by Mrs. Eugene Hibbs. Miss Carol Hawkins is in charge of makeup and among her helpers is a junior, Charles Caron. Mrs. Joseph W. Walden and Mrs. John Gordon Kinghan, both of whom have had wide experience in children’s productions, are co-directors, assisted hy Mrs. Richard K. Tucker, stage manager. Tickets for the production at 2:30 p. m. next Saturday and at 3 p. m. on Sunday, April 27, went on syle today.

Kindergarten Mothers’ Clubs Arrange Annual Luncheon
Mrs. Howard S. Heitkamp Jr. is general chairman of the seventh annual spring luncheon of the 23 Indianapolis Free Kindergartens Mothers’ Clubs, which will be held Wednesday at 12:30 o'clock in the North Methodist Church, Meridian and 38th Sts.
