COCONUT CREAM PIE (Serves 4 to 6)
One and one-half cups hot milk 8 tablespoons cornstarch, ¥% cup sugar, teaspoon salt, 2 egg yolks or 1 whole egg. 1 ‘easpoon vanilla, 3% cup shredded coconut. Scald the milk. Pour over the cornstarch blended with the sugar and salt and cook over hot water, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Beat egg volks and add cornstarch mi IXt ire gradually, stirCook 2 minutes jonger.
