TO AVOID CONFLICT with the Civic Theater's **Night in Mexico” ball on May 3, the annual dinner dance ‘and business meeting of The Players has been postponed to May 17. Robert S. Wild, club president, has announced that election of officers for next year will be held at the meeting in the Woodstock Club.
Dramatic Club Performance to Be Tonight
MR. AND MRS. ELIAS C. ATKINS will entertain at dinner tonight in their home for guests who will attend the Dramatic Club performance of Clare Boothes "Kiss the Boys Goodby” at English’s Theater with them. Their guests will be Messrs. and Mesdames W. Richardson Sinclair, Perry E. O'Neal, W. Hathaway Simmons, Cornelius O. Alig and Robert F. Scott. At the performance with Mrs, Marjorie Roemier Kinnaird will be Mrs. Virginia Kennedy, Ft. Wayne: Maurice Robinson, Anderson and Harry Smenner. Miss Irving Moxley, who is in charge of the buffet supper-dance at the Indianapolis Athletic Club following the performance, will have a party with her at both the play and the dance. Among them will be Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cobb, Louisville, her week-end guests, and Miss Nina Brown. Among others planning to attend the performance are Mrs, William Ray Adams, Messrs. and Mesdames Henry C. Atkins Jr, William C. Bertermann, Earl B. Barnes, Arthur C. Shea and Jeremiah LL. Cadick. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Greathouse Jr. will be Messrs, and Mesdames Joseph E. Cain, Wilson Mothershead. Thomas Mahaffey Jr, David L. Stone Jr. and Thomas Ruckelshaus. Mr. and Mrs. John C. Appel and Mr. and Mrs. Burford Danner will be together at the performance following a dinner at the University Club. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lockwood will entertain at dinner at their home before the show.

Curator of British Gallery to Lecture Here
THE PRESIDENT, Mrs. James W. Fesler, and the board of directors of the Art Association of Indianapolis, have issued invitations to the Association membership for a lecture, “Pictures Are Like People,” at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday evening at the John Herron Art Museum. The speaker will be H. S. Ede, for 15 years curator of the National Gallery of British Art in London. Mr. Ede, who is now touring the country, is an artist and well-known critic of modern painting. He is the author of the biography, “Savage Messiah.”

Mrs. Frank B. Hunter of Indianapolis and Mrs, C. N. Kitselman of Muncie are new life members of the Indiana Federation of Music Clubs, which is closing its 21st annual meeting here today, Their appoint-
ment was announced last night at a dinner in the Indianapolis Athletic Club, following talks by Mrs. Edmund Burke Ball of Muncie and Dr. Christopher B. Coleman. Federatipn officials also announced the naming of Mrs. Edward C. Eiliott of West Lafayette, wife of Purdue University's president, as a new patroness of the organization, Mrs. Hunter is a past president of the Federation. Reporting on her work as president of the Indiana Federation of Music Clubs, Mrs. Frank W, Cregor this morning paid tribute to the unity achieved by the Federation's 7000 members in music clubs over the state.
