Miss Ruth Lilly Is Married To Guernsey Van Riper Jr.
MR. AND MRS. JOSIAH K. LILLY JR. announce the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Guernsey Van Riper Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Guernsey Van Riper. The ceremony was performed Thursday in the Holy Trinity Church in Miami, Fla., where Mrs. Lilly and her daughter have been vacationing.
Tennis Exhibition Attracts Many
VYING FOR ATTENTION this evening with the opening performance of “Mrs. Moonlight” at the Civic Theater will be the tennis exhibition which the Auxiliary of the Indianapolis Orphans’ Home is sponsoring at the Butler University Fieldhouse. A number of parties have been arranged for both events. Among those at the Fieldhouse to see Alice Marble, Mary Hardwick, Don Budge and Bill Tilden “do their stuff” will be one including Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Krannert and their guests, Messrs. and Mes”~mes N. P. Schaefer, Philip Holton and John P. Holton. With Mrs. Linnaes C. Boyd in her nox will be her daughter, Mrs, W. R. Higgins and the latter's children. In another group will be Mr. and Mrs. William H. Krieg, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace O. Lee, Miss Betty Jean Davis and Mrs. Harold R. Woodruff of Cocoa, Fla. Dr. and Mrs. Byron K. Rust will have with them Dr. and Mrs, Paul Beard and Mrs. Grace Beard. With Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Cchuetz will be Mr. and Mrs. Paul B. Payne. Another party will include Mr. and Mrs. Hobson Wilson, Mr, and Mrs. John E. Hollett, Miss Judith Preston and John Gwvnne. Mrs. Louis C. Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. R. Norman Baxter and Edward K.
