Philosopher to Speak on April 24—Dr. Joseph A. Creighton, chairman of Ohio State University’s philosophy department, will speak at the Hotel Lincoln April 24 under the auspices of the American P h i losophical Society. His talk, on “The Social 3 Struggle and Dr. Leighton the sdeological Conflict,” will be the annual public address sponsored by the association. Dr. Leignton, who has been at Ohio State since 1910, was president of the western division in 1937-38. He has written many works on philosophy. In 1897 he was a member of a champion American la crosse team which toured Europe and he continues | to have an active interest in sports and outdoor life.
Schwabia Holds Easter Pariyv—An . Easter entertainment and dance will be given by the Schwabia Society (Schwaben Verein) of Indianapolis at 8 p. m. tomorrow in Liederkranz Hall, 1417 E. Washington St. Gustav Hanselmann is president of the Societv, founded more than 70 vears ago. John Roch is secretary. The arrangements committee includes Karl Muff, chairman; Herman and Otto Schaefer, Carl Hagemeier, Fred Hildewein, John Hartman and Carl Schuh. Blumhardt's Orchestra will play.
St. Catherine's Sodality to Skate =A skating party will be given at 8 p. m. Wednesday at the Riverside roller rink by the St. Catherine's Young Ladies Sodality. Transportation will be available at the church, Shelby and Tabor Sts. at 6:30 p. m. The committee in charge includes the Misses Mary Aun Achgill, Jo Ann Kraeszig, Doris Tredway, Mary Jean Raftery. Mary Brady, Jane Gaughan, Catherine Doerr and Margaret Raftery.

Exchange to See Film— ‘Romantic Mexico,” a new technicolor film, was to be shown at the Exchange Club luncheon today in the Hote] Severin. The film depicts scenes in Mexico City, Xochimilco, Orizaba. Cordoba, Toluca, Cuernavaca and San Miguel de Allenda, and shows native dances. A Good Friday message by Dr. Logan Hall was to be read.
Southport O. E, S. to Meet— Southport Chapter 442, O. E. S., will hold a stated meeting at 8 p. m Wednesday in the Southport Masonic Temple. An Easter program will be a feature of the meeting Mrs. Alma Spencer is worthy matron and Charles Askin is worthy | patron.
