Another sign of spring is the an'nouncement today of the reorgani(zation of the Citizens Speedway Committee to raise lap prize money for the annual 500-mile race at the Speedway. This announcement was made by the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, under whose auspices the committee functions, not only to but also to give

of-town race visitors. Last year more than $7000 was contributed for lap prizes hy firms in the automotive industry and Indianapolis business concerns. Many drivers who never have won a race have collected thousands of dollars

in lap prizes.

RADIO IS READY FOR DIAL SHIFTS

Frequency Changes to Go in Effect Tomorow; 802 Stations Included.

WASHINGTON, March 28 (U. P.). --More than 800 of the nation’s radio stations today made final engineering tests before shifting places on the dial in conformance with the North American radio broadcasting agreement to eliminate interference, The agreement, signed hy the United States, Canada, Mexico and Cuba, will become effective at 3 a. m. tomorrow, 4 Engineers of the Federal Com. munications Commission expected the changes to eliminate or minimize much radio interference now experfenced. Powerful Mexican border stations that interfered with reception in this country will be forced off the air.

The generally uniform shift will affect 802 of the 893 standard broadcast, stations in this countrv. Stations now received above the 730kilocycle marking on the dial wil! he » heard at slightly different points usually higher.
