in company. Thé Capitals were intent on Eddie and were screaming at Smith for a whistle as Shill skated by and outmaneuvered Franks to score.
Behling Conducts Class
The second period was uneventful with lot of the action centered between the blue lines. Once Pep Young broke to give Franks a lesson in scoring but Dick Behling handed him 101A in defense with a nice check into the boards. Red
like Li'l Abner’s Salomey in protest. As nearly as we could interpret the message read, “Yo is robbing us,
Jud McAtee got off a blue line drive which dribbled for a moment on Karakas’ sleeve, but again he rose to the asion, Hal Jackson was censored for cross-checking as both sides roughed it up a bit near the middle part of this chukker. Most of action was in Redland with McAtee and Ken Kilrea heckling defensemen like Dodger fans at .a Flatbush double-header.
Bush Backs Up One
Jack Keating counted first for the Caps when he rifled a ort drive behind him from about 20 feet out to catch Mike unaware. Ken Kilrea set up the drive at 14:32, Less than two minutes later Eddie Bush, another former Capital, turned the hand of Providence to irony when, with the able assistance of Hugh Gustafson and Pep Kelley, he slapped ‘rebounds at Jimmy until finally he slipped left instead of right. -A perfect pass from Butch MecDonald to Eddie Bruneteau, whose skating had been the Capitals’ offensive feature all evening racked up the final local goal from directly out front, The time was 17:35. Before and after the Red’s final goal in the overtime the Blueshirts crashed at Karakas singly and in pairs, but Mike had closed for the evening, In desperation, with a few minutes to go, Herbie Lewis took Franks from the ice and shot on all forwards, but it was no dice. Chapters on basic landscape design, grading and lawnmaking, the circulatory system, walls, steps, fences, furnishing and lighting the garden, playground and game areas are included: COLOR—HOW TO USE IT by Sterling B. MacDonald (Follett Book Co. Chicago). Profusely illustrated with beautiful color plates, this volume is designed to give aid in harmonious color combinations.. It co-ordinates proved theories and present and past systems. EARLY AMERICAN DECORATION by Esther Stevens Brazer (Pond Ekherg Co., Springfield, Mass.) is one of the outstanding additions to the Julia Connor Thompson Memoria] Collection of fine books n the finer arts of home making.
