~ Paul Muni will make one of his rare radio appearances tonight in the Playhouse production of “Crime Syndicate,” 8:30 on WFBM. It’s a . ; drama based in part on a story by Wilbur Daniel Steele, “Life Is So Little.” Arch Oboler’s dramatic offering this evening at the same time on WIRE is to be “The Family,” starring Alla Nazimova. This one is an adaptation of Nina Fedorova's best selling novel Paul Muni ©f the same name. Following tonight’s show, Mr. Oboler plans to take his Everyman's Theater on a month’s tour. He will broadcast from New York and Chicago. Among the plays to be given during the tour is to be a repeat of “This Precicus Freedom,” with Raymond Massey again in the leading role. “This Precious Freedom” deals with an American businessman who returns from a long hunting trip in Canada to discover that his homeland has become a dictatorship.

She appeared in the final competition last week and a flood of letters poured in nominating her for the vacancy.
