proximately 28 millions favor passage of the bill, while 10% millions oppose it, and the rest either say they are undecided or give a qualified opinion. The lease-lend controversy is one which splits the rank and file of the Republican Party. Today's study shows that while Democratic voters are in favor of the bill by a vote of 71 per cent, a substantial number of Republicans support the measure as well. The actual G. O. P. vote is 43 per cent approve, 30. per cent opposed, 20 per cent-quali-fied, and 7 per cent no opinion.

War Vote Drops

While the country, judging by this surrey, is willing to grant President Roosevelt extraordinary powers for|4 aid to England, it is still just as stubbornly opposed as ever to American entrance into the European war. The latest survey on this subject, completed a few days ago, shows only 14 per cent in favor of going to war now against Germany and Italy, as compared to 15 per cent in a poll Feb. 2.
