Dr. Conover, director of the Inferdenominational Bureau of Architecture, who will address the 7:45 p. m. service in the Brightwood Methodist Church, is one of a list of guest speakers scheduled by various faiths. The church architectural expert comes to Indianapolis at the invitation of the Brightwood Church ‘building committee. He advises ‘churches all over the nation on ‘building or remodeling plans and is sponsored by the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America.

Candles Burn All Day,
The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed and candles will burn on the altar all day tomorrow at St. ‘Bridget’s. The Most, Rev. Joseph E. Ritter, Bishop of the Diocese of Indianapolis, and the city’s Catholic clergy have been invited to the closing exercises at 7:45 p. m. | Today is the Feast of St. Bridget, which will not be solemnizeéd until tomorrow because there can he a greater home-coming of | former members on Sunday than on a week day. By coincidence, tomorrow also is Candlemas Day, ‘when [candles are blessed in all Catholic ¢hurches for use during the year. Father McShane has heen at 61-year-old St. Bridget’s ever since his ordination 35 years ago and during his pastorate has seen the neighborhood become congested and many of his parishioners move away. Because the parish is so far downtown and includes Riley, Long, Colemaa and the "City Hospitals, the pastor gets many emergency calls.

Father McShane is an | amateur photographer. He has taken pictures here and all over the world during his seven trips abroad, developed and printed them and had them published in religious magazines. He also writes stories and verse, then prints them on his own press, binds them into booklets and | presents them to his friends, Among the art objects he has freshened for tomorrow’s observance are the statue of the Virgin and Child brought frpm France about 50 years ago and a large portrait of St. Bridget. He has laid coat after coat of white eriamel on the 70-year-old altar which formerly stood in the first St. John’s Chlirch, St. Bridget, titular saint of the church, was a contemporary of St. Patrick. She established schools for girls and women anc convents for nuns all over Ireland,

Endeavor Group To Celebrate
Before it became popular for the denominations to step over doctrinal barriers and mingle freely in each other's churches, religious history records that thesinterdenominational Christian Endeaver was organized. The 60th anniversary of this bit of pioneering in Christian unity, the founding of the Christian Endeavor, will be marked by a week's celebration climaxed by a banquet Tuesday at 6:30 p. m. in the University Park Christian Church. The celebration, sponsored. by the Capitol District Union of Christian Endeavor, is simultaneous with similar ones held all over the country. The theme of the week and of the banquet address by the Rev. J. W. Turnbull of Brazil, Ind. is “Christ Calls . . . I Will Answer.” Miss Roberta Bland will give harp selections and Edward Atkins will be toastirnaster.

discussed in Disciples of Christ convccations here March 24 and 25. Since Indiana has more Disciples’ churches than any other state in the union, local leaders say they expect the largest attendance here of ary of their convocations. ‘The local meetings, the larger of which are to be held at the Third Christian, First Presbyterian and First Congregational churces, will climax a series of 12 throughout the country. Speakers include Mrs. Robert Doan, vice president of the United Clhiristian Missionary Society who spent many years as a missionary in Japan; Miss Bertha Park, recently returned from China, and Dr. Robert M. Hopkins, president of the society, who has visited Disciples’ mission stations all over the world. Dr. Graham Frank, secretary of the Disciples’ International Convention, also will be here as will the Rev. J. Eric Carlson, general secretary of the National Benevolent Association. Other spegkers are Mrs. H. B. Marx, executive secretary. of missionary organizations, Di. F. E. Smith of the Pension Fund, Dr. John H. Booth of the Beard of Church Extension, Dr, C. O. Hawley, director of Unified promotion and the Rev. Harlie L. Sraith of the Board of Higher Education.
Budget Discussed By Presbyterians
The Indianapolis Presbytery will hcld a mass meeting tomorrow to discuss ways to raise $1,000,000 for current expenses and $113,500 for benevolences of 113 Indiana Presbyterian Churces this year. ‘The meeting will be from 4 to 8 p.. m. in the Meridian Heights Presbyterian Church. It is in eharge of the Rev. Florizel A. Pffeiderer, chairman of unified promotion for the denomination in this state. Dr. Charles T. Ballie of South Bend will preach. Others on the team of visiting speakers are the Rev. Mark Marshall of La Porte, ledder; the Rev. Harold T. Wilson of Michigan City, former pastor of ths Wallace Street Presbyterian Church here; Dr. Francis E. Reese of Logansport; Dr. Chester A. Wharton of Valparaiso, and the Rev. Herman E. Dirks of Monticello. In addition to its financial goals, thy Rev. Mr. Pffeiderer said the Presbyterian Church in Indiana will atiempt to enroll the “Presbyterian share” of the 17,000,000 youths under 25 years now receiving no religious instruction; to enlist the manpower of the church in active werk; to increase church worship atiendance; and in every way deepen the church’s spiritual life. ‘The mass meeting tomorrow is
