Girl Tries to Poison Self After Teacher Accused by Parents Ends Life. WEST NEW YORK, N. J. Jan,

80 (U. P.).—Claire Engelbert, frail, 15-year-old - blond, poisoned herBelf early today four hours after the funeral of William H. Lounsbury, 48, her high school teacher who killed himself after accusations by the girl’s parents. The girl's mother, Mrs. Claire Engelbert, poured milk down the child’s throat while neighbors called police to rush her to a hospital at Weehawken. The prompt action was believed to have saved her life. : The night's events intensified a drama that has absorbed this whole section and has disrupted " school life here, especially since Lounsbury supervised manual training in all the schools in town and his "suicide by gas and explosion, had badly damaged the cooking . Diamond Jim Brady once ate there and among the regular local customers were Poet Riley, Senajor Albert Beveridge Sr., Booth Tarkington and Kin Hubbard. Pop June's probably attracted more famous people than any other Indianapolis eating house of its day. Since Mrs. June, widow, of the last of the June family, an-

The restaurant :eally got its start when Jacob June, a bewhiskered gentleman, opened a hotel at Front and Battery Sts, near the Battery in New York. Jacob June had two sons who went to Newburgh, N. J., and opened a restaurant there. In 72 William (Pop) June came to Indianapolis and opened a. restaurant. He had three sons and George, the present Mrs. June's late husband, ‘was tie last one. He died seven years agc and since then Mrs. June has managed the place, “more as a hobby Sale anything else.” - The restaurant is Yochied at 130 S. Illinois St. Sinee Mis.
